I have a stable of Canon L-glass, so it's safe to say I probably have a fetish. Coupled with my R5, this, 24mm 1.4L II is like no other! I have a RF 15-35mm 2.8 and and EF 24-70 2.8 II and they are incredible! But this lens is just different. It has a character hard to explain, especially at 2.8 and wider. The shots you get 2.2-1.4 are amazing. I have the 17 and use both 1.4 and 2x TC’s with it to good effect, but the 24 MkII is a much sharper lens than the 17 and in general more versatile. The shift stitched 24 gives you a horizontal 17 anyway and the stitched 17 is just too wide for most things. We used Canon's 200mm ƒ/2.8L II USM telephoto lens to test the 1.4x III Extender, comparing the sharpness of the lens with and without the extender attached. Canon EF - White.
